Farewell to Nova Scotia | Halifax Child and Family Photographer

If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you may remember baby Nathalie from October. She was just 3 months old back then, and her Daddy Phil was getting ready for a 6 month tour of duty in the Persian Gulf while Mommy Christine and big sister Arianne headed to Calgary.

Phil returned home safe and sound not long ago, and as the whole family enjoys their last few weeks in the Maritimes, we headed out for their Farewell to Nova Scotia session!

To many, today may not have seemed like beach weather, but for a photographer, it was perfect. Beautiful , soft lighting and just enough showers to keep away the sand flies.

Nault family, it has been a real pleasure getting to know you, and I wish you nothing but safe travels and happiness.

Maria | Nova Scotia Newborn Photographer

Sunday was the perfect day for a drive to Bridgewater, to meet and photograph little Maria for the first time!  You may remember big sister Jillian from the maternity session in April.  It’s always so cute to watch older siblings interact with the new arrivals, and Jillian was fantastic with her Maria. ♥

I have been chomping at the bit for this little guy to make his arrival. You may remember his gorgeous mama from her maternity session back in January. There was never any doubt that Quinn would be a stunner….the question was, how much hair would he have?!?!  Not one to disappoint, I was smitten with his little mohawk today. He was so good to me, with barely a peep.

Unfortunately, Daddy Peter had to head back up North before our session. I’m trying really hard not to take it personally……something about protecting citizens, yada yada;)

Tracey & Peter……you should be so proud. He was a perfect little gentleman.

I had big plans for this stetson, but we had to make do since Daddy wasn’t available. I hope you like it, I know how much you wanted this one:)

I’ve never participated in an event like this before, and I’m quite looking forward to it!

I’ll be there all weekend, with some really great “show specials” so if you’ve been thinking of booking a session, this will be the time to do it!

I’ll be announcing the show specials here on the blog as we get closer the dates, so keep an eye out!

What is the Atlantic Family Expo you ask? Well, who better to explain than the organizers themselves?

“We Love Our Children-Atlantic Canada’s Family Expo is a two day expo which will give parents, grandparents, guardians access to experts on various subjects dealing with raising children. Families will be exposed to the latest in child safety, the scoop on the “how to’s” and the “whys”, family travel, the best activities to fill their lives and advice on how to plan for their future. There will be a play area, a teaching area, a speaker series, keynote, workshops and a marketplace to purchase items and services on-site. There will be contests, lots of FREE samples and giveaways, demonstrations and entertainment all weekend long.”
