Andrea & Luc | A Halifax Wedding

I promised Andrea and Luc that I would have a blog post up for them while they were off on their 3 week European honeymoon…..and then I thought, I can do better than that;)

A beautiful fall day was the backdrop for Andrea and Luc’s intimate wedding ceremony yesterday…..sun in the sky, warm breeze, protest in the air  ;)

Approximately 35 people filled the Halifax Club with as much love and laughter as a packed cathedral. It was an absolute pleasure to witness, and I wish them both every happiness. ♥

Feature Wedding: Maria & Nish

First time to Newfoundland (amazing).

First time having to board a plane outside the airport (what if it rains?!)

First stay in a B&B (cozy).

First time renting a car (sad I know.)

First Vera Wang (!)

First time working with JLF Productions (inspiring).

Much love. ♥

Venessa & Luke Get Married | Nova Scotia Wedding Photographer

Venessa and Luke opted for an old Hollywood glam themed wedding….from their engagement session, to the hair, the decor, the music, they didn’t miss a beat.

I will tell you one thing though….I have never cried so much at a wedding in my entire life.

I was good until Venessa’s dad started to go….and then I was done for.  A Hollywood moment if I ever witnessed one.

I cried when Uncle Kurt toasted the couple.

I cried when Mom Bev read a letter that Venessa had written to her father as a young girl, only to be opened on her wedding day (!)…..not a dry eye in the house for that one.

I cried as Mom Lynda toasted her son, and spoke of how proud she and Luke’s father were of him.

Both Luke and Venessa are “only” children….much adored and held in such high regard by all. However, if you were to equate “only” with “lonely” you would be very mistaken. With six cousins standing in the bridal party alone, this is one tight knit group.

I hope you all enjoy a quick peek of the day! ♥

Angela & Jason: A Keith’s Brewery Wedding | Nova Scotia Wedding Photographer

Relationships are key for any business and especially so for a photographer. I take pride in the ones I have built with my current clients, and the ones I continue to foster with those past.

So when I agreed to step in as Angela and Jason’s photographer this past Saturday (after an unavoidable cancellation by their first choice) I was a bit nervous. We first met exactly 10 days before their ceremony…and I can only imagine what was going through their minds…..but as we left that initial meeting, there seemed to be a sense of relief on all accounts.

It was a fun day, (even if we did fly by the seat of our pants for the most part!) and I especially enjoyed watching their guests in the ‘photobooth’.

It wasn’t something I’d ever offered before, but was a part of their original package and I wanted to honor it for them. After I got everything setup that morning, my buddy Jimmy came for the evening and kept an eye on all the shenanigans! Thanks for keeping it under control sir;)

My assistant Kayla and I maaaaay have jumped in for a shot ourselves;)

Maria & Aneesh | Nova Scotia Wedding Photographer

If you have been a longtime follower of my site, or have ever seen a copy of my maternity & newborn business card, you may recognize Maria !

I was truly honored when she asked me to shoot her and Aneesh’s wedding this past week in Newfoundland & Labrador….a gorgeous setting for a gorgeous couple. It was my first time to “The Rock”, and also my first time working with Jason Lefrense of JLF Productions. I hope it won’t be the last….for either! You can view the amazing cinematography done by Jason for Maria and Nish’s wedding HERE.

A real quick peek for the happy couple, currently honeymooning in Costa Rica before they both return to medical school in Ireland ♥
